Yep, after they realised they'd messed it up somehow. I'm not sure how myself, but others reported problems with the sewing badge? :dontknow: Anyway, it's safer to wait until they've fixed whatever's wrong Wink

Restore skin.package? Is that where the problem lies in the patch?

It's still up at the English site too, so if that's all the problem is I'll grab it again - want to be sure though.

Sadie, what does that mean: Restore skin.package? I never removed the damn patch and have been playing with it in my game.

Here is the link of our forum (in French) explaining the correction was made to patch

http://www.lessims2.fr/forums.view.asp?fID=9&tID=103473&archived=0

I try translation

It can be used safely, no ?

Almost! There is a small precaution to take for those who have created customized held with the sewing machine (the other, any more worry than usual):

If you want to install the patch now, you can copy the file skins.package from the DVD of the game and crush your current version. This will remove all the behaviors that you created through the sewing machine.

Steps to replace the file skins.package:

Insert the DVD or disk 2 of the game The Sims 2 Freetime in your reader.

Find the folder compressed.zip.

Unpack TSData \ Res \ Catalog \ skins \ Skins.package on your desk.

Copy this file in the installation directory of the game (by default C: \ Program Files \ EA GAMES \ The Sims 2 Freetime \ TSData \ Res \ Catalog \ Skins).

Confirm the crash of the file.

Rerun patch The Sims 2 Freetime.

For me it's OK !

Awesome! Thanks! *re-downloads*

@Joey: Find the skins.package from within your DVD, as sten above has described in more detail Smiley Replace the file that's been patched with the original one and - hopefully - all should be well.
