Put the package file in your \My Documents\EA Games\The Sims2\Downloads and when you start the game you should have a pie menu option to "Nurse Baby" when you click on a baby when the mother is selected (father, too, if you put in the version for both sexes) Smiley

you should have it in the teenage section too. thanks anyway
What? The mother has the option to nurse the baby no matter what the age of the mother is if you are using Inteen.

HOW TO ALWAYS NURSE BABY-NEVER BOTTLE FEED!

I found a way to get your sims to always nurse and never feed a bottle. For those who use the autonomous version of this mod, you'll notice that sometimes your sim will breast feed, and at other times they will decide to feed a bottle.

If you want them to always breast feed, then download the Smart Fridge, Version B, available in the link below. Put this fridge in your kitchen and don't change any of the settings on it. Then the sims will only be able to get food from it and not bottles so they will always breast feed when the baby is hungry! (You'll have to sell any other fridges already in your house or sims will get bottles from those).

http://www.modthesims2.com/showthread.php?t=177829
(Download the last file only...SmartFridge20060728B.zip)

...You can also get the Permanent SmartMilk on that page, but the other fridges won't work right for this particular purpose...

If you want a fridge for the nursery that only gives bottles and baby mush, but not food, put another one of these same fridges in the nursery, turn off all the food options, and turn on the bottle options. (Don't use the nursery fridge available on that page for download. Sims don't use it correctly).

If you want to keep the nursing parent from feeding a bottle from the nursery fridge but want to have the ability to bottle feed while that parent is at work or sleeping, assign other household members as owners of the nursery fridge. That way the others can bottle feed but the nursing parent cannot. (If you don't assign an owner, everyone can get bottles from it just like from a normal fridge).

Squinge's breast feeding mod and this fridge go together so well that I just had to pass this info along. These are NOT my items. I didn't make them. Christianlov did.

EDIT: Any questions or problems with the fridges should be posted over there in that thread, not here in Squinge's thread.

EDIT2: I noticed some people complaining about the fact that when the sim is holding the baby and you give the nurse command that the sim first puts the baby into the crib, then gets it back out to feed it. (I've even had them hand the baby to another sim first...like that is going to help!)

I found a workaround to help with that. Have the sim place the baby on the floor, then click on the baby and give the nurse command. They will pick the baby up and start nursing without going to the other side of the house to put it into the crib first!
