How come FT does not automatically start like the other games did?  Is it just my computer or is this how it works on FT?

do you mean you have to click a play button?? it has been doing that since seasons that i have noticed...not sure why...so no it is not just your computer mine does it too

Tongue yeah mine too but sometimes i will accidentally click on it and then that screen will pop up and i can just close it thats the only good thing i got out of it cause my computer is sooooooooo slow when i close the sims

It started with me with BV. I think it is an interface to let you choose to join an online game or just play stand-alone. If you disconnect your online then you  get a small box to click play, but if you are connected you get a drop down of three additional choices. I'm not sure what they are, I ignore them and just click on play and play stand-alone.

Weird. I have BV and don't have this problem. Then again, I use the mod to surpass the intro. Maybe that's part of it.

Continuing on with what jamesabrown said, the 3 additional boxes are 1. featured content on the Sims2 site, 2. News (usually has to do with patches or whatever) and 3. BUY THE NEXT EXPANSION PACK NOWS box.
