When I make an object with a 2,3,4 ... 14 colors it is only with one color and shadown.Someone help me?
 
 NOTE: When I speak color, I mean texture.

Maxis(and most games) fold their parts out on the uvmap and if there is not enough room or if some parts need a reflection or transparancy they split the mesh up in more meshgroups and uvmap(fold) them on a second/3rd or even multiple maps.

Try to map the normal parts on one file
Map glass on one file
Map transparant parts on one file etc etc.

Its not smart to make 14 texturefiles!!!! You better regroup some meshes together!!!!


If you really need to add more texturefiles then you make a new meshgroup.
The new meshgroup name you add in the Shape file by copying the previous line and change the meshgroup name and change the material(txmt)name.
Clone or add a new txmt and update the name and settings.
Clone or add a new texture file and link it properly back to the txmt.
Fix intigrity on both the new texturefile and txmt and save.

But my last cloned object(a pet bed)has 15 colors in 2 groups.The mesh file object group and the mesh file shadown.the mesh file object has 14 colors and the shadown has 1 color.I do the same,i replaced the 14 colors of maxis and replaced the texture of the shadown too.

it has 15 diffrent texture files? wow..
well, if they are all very small it cant hurt but 15 1024x1024 texturefiles will slow your game down, mine is....

Yes,my game will slow with this object.
I was not right when i said to you that had changed the texturefile of the shadow.I remenbered,in my last cloned object i deleted the GMD file of the shadow,the SHPE,and the texture of the shadow.
Be will why my object was only with one color?

sorry for my "shadown","shadown" is shadow.
