Camera troubles

Alright, I go into cameraman mode, it works perfectly, then I hit tab again to get out of it and the camrea takes a bird's eye view and no matter what I do it won't go back to a normal level. I tried going back into cameraman mode again and it's the same thing, bird's eye view. It won't back to normal unless I restart the game. It's indcredibly frustrating, please someone help me out here.

PS - I also have GunMod's camera mod installed, fyi.

is this happening in buy or build mode or normal playing mode? Have you tried going into buy mode and hitting the birdseye veiw a couple of times to see if that fixes it?

It's happening in all three, I've tried the birds eye view in buy mode, but it didn't change anything.

Also -- it also does this whenever I enter a community lot, I've had that problem for awhile now. Can anyone help me out here?

Have you installed any custom cameras?  Even if you haven't I've seen a couple of posts with the default sims cameras.  Maybe you could use those and write over the cameras you have...    Just a thought.

I have GunMod's camera mod installed, I'll take it out and try putting the defaults back in.

ARGH! I put back in the camera defaults and I'm still having major trouble. Last night, before I put the defaults back in, when I would hit tab to get out of cameraman mode it wouldn't do anything, it just stayed in camera man mode. I thought maybe the defaults would fix it, but they haven't. I ended up having to shut down my game by using windows task manager. I'm still having trouble with the community lot camera too.


Please, please, please someone help me out here! Someone's gotta know something! lol.

OKAY, I know I'm probably getting annoying but I somehow fixed the free mode camera problem I was having, BUT I'm still having the community lot camera problem. So if anyone has ANY idea as to why it takes an ariel view please, I'd love to know what you think it is.

Sometimes it'll default to that view, I've no idea why. Try holding down your Ctrl key while at the same time holding down your right mouse button. You'll see a little 4-way directional arrow thingy show up on the screen. Move your mouse forward/back & side-to-side to reposition your camera. Hope this solves your problem.

my game does that all the time. remember to save the original camera setting. for saving them, use ctrl + 4 to 9. you can save camera settings in Freecam mode, too.
