You may have an object or wants error on your lot that's causing it to do that.  Try enabling debug mode (boolprop testingcheatsenabled true) while in neighborhood view, then entering that house.  If an error box appears, take note of the location the error log will be saved in, and try pressing the Reset button on the pop-up.  If it keeps popping up, go ahead and press Delete.  (Shouldn't do any harm to your game.  It will either delete a certain object off the lot, or temporarily delete a sim that you can always get back by exiting and re-entering the lot).

If this error continues to happen even after re-entering the lot, make sure to grab that particular log mentioned in the pop-up in your Logs folder by sorting that folder by either Date Modified or Date Created.  The most recent date is the one you're looking for.  The logs will help those who understand them what may be causing the error to occur.  Wink

and remember that the more CC or EP/SP's you've got, the slower the loading will be. (I sat two hours yesterday, waiting for the game + a family to load. around 4-5GB stuff, and all EP/SP's installed)

Raven, it sounds like it's house cleaning time.  lol

It sounds like a mod or mesh conflict that's interfering with the OP's lot loading problem.  Which ever it is, you've got something not compatible with your EP/SP configuration.  It could be a mod/hack.  It could be a mesh.  It could even be a recolor you don't have the mesh for.

If in Tenshii-Akari's suggestion no errors pop up, my money's on a mesh.  Unfortunately not all the clothing, hair, object creators list required EPs and SPs for their creations.  The result is gamers have to sort through their 1.5 or 4-5 GB of content to find what items are causing the problem.

Most recolors of Maxis objects that require an EP will have it listed as required, but again, not all will.

Error logs?  Might be helpful if you post the latest ones from your Sims 2 Logs folders for us to see.  Wink

Rather than copy and and paste the file. Upload it as an attachment as Tenshii mentioned please. There's other information in the logfile that is often useful.

when you make a post, clicked the "Go Advanced" tab, then click on the paper clip icon that reads "manage attachements" when you mouse over it. From there, you'll be able to upload the entire file from your hard drive.
