I've been learning how to recolor and texture in Gimp.

I know how to modify a skin using the Alpha, but I've been trying to figure out how to add a collar to this t-shirt:

Would I have to open up a totally different Alpha and copy and paste that collar to this shirt and recolor it?

I'm a newbie at this Cheesy

You could do that, but I think it really depends on how the UV maps to the mesh itself is shaped in the end. Have you tried making the black area to the alpha where the neck would be all white?  That will make the texture visible on the neck part.  Just be sure to edit your texture (if it's not already) so that the texture you want shows up instead of the weird "color blocking" stuff that usually surrounds the texture.  Wink

I totally forgot about the mesh. :brain:

Now, I'm just wondering if I could possibly "fake" one?

Maybe like a smaller circle around the neck one or two shades lighter, and then a slightly bigger circle about two shades darker. Almost something to give it that 3 dimentional effect/look.

All the std bmp files look just like the t-shirt in the pictures.

I guess if I fiddle with them long enough, I'll figure something out.

Thank you, Tenshii

Have you tried looking in the tutorials in the Modding Section? There's a mesh creation/recolouring help section in there too. I can move this thread there for you if you like. More people who can help you will see it and you'll get more answers. Smiley
