In my Sims 2 game whenever I make a family there is always a flashing red wall in the back. How do I get rid of it? And it's for my house too. When I try to paint it it stays like that. Sad

are your animations normal? has your game always done this? what expansion packs do you have?  did you just recently install a new expansion pack? can you give more information about these things which would be very helpful for someone who could then maybe help you?

Talk to the people who built your computer i.e. Dell, HP, Compaq.

Call their tech support and ask them. They'll walk you though the process.

the Sims 2 games have minimum requirements of your computer system in order to display properly. The box should have on it a list of these requirements and you need to check your computer to see it conforms to these requirements. You need to know how much RAM you have, what kind of video card and if it is compatible etc. If you have had the computer for a while, perhaps the video card drivers need updated, which you can probably do over the internet. Without knowing anything about your computer set-up no one will have a good idea how to help you.

You can go to this page and see if it is any help to you: http://www.modthesims2.com/wiki.php?title=Game_Help:Graphics_Cards

Yep just like amc said. If you're not sure about your system specs, please post a screenshot here.
To find your system specs check here for help.
My guess is that your graphics card is not up to par but just to be safe post your specs so we can see how to possibly help.
