***UN-FURNISHED HOUSE $117,636

~LOT SIZE = HUGE~

YOU SHOULD KNOW:

The original house is more of a "white" color- achieved using the Vanilla stucco.  I didn't like this much white so I used Putty colored stucco instead... you can change it to whatever color you like in your world. Cheesy

There was a one-car garage on the original house plan (in the back of the house) but since it also has a two-car garage in the front...

I turned the secondary garage into a teen apartment, pool-house/spa-room instead. Smiley

I used the driveway-hack to make the garage side-entrance.  (see tutorial info below)  If you move/remove the driveway you won't be able to replace it without following the directions in the tutorial!  Best to leave it alone unless you know what you're doing. Wink

I used the MoveObjects On cheat and the SeeThem2 Hack to place objects off grid, diagonally, etc. (linked below)  You will need to use MoveObjects cheat.  The diagonally placed objects (like chairs) are not always useable... sometimes the sim reacts as if they cannot get to the object... you can simply place the object in a normal position to fix this. Smiley

I have ALL EP's and ALL SP's except the new Ikea one.

(If in doubt USE CLEAN INSTALLER Wink when you install it in your game!)

I play tested it for several sim days- and took a whopping 53 in-game pictures!  All pictures show each room, the furnishing and cc used in each room, the links and credits for the custom stuff, and overhead views of the layout of the house, etc.  I decided the best way to share these was to create a slide-show.  You can visit the "open house" and take a tour of the entire lot by clicking on the link above. Smiley

This house is HUGE- it is situated on the LARGEST lot available to build on.  It takes up the majority of that lot.  Because RedRoseTea wanted a furnished house I built it fully furnished... and there is a TON of custom content...

Resulting in a file that is over 20MB in rar format!!!  8-0

Naturally- this exceeds the file-size limit here.  I have used an upload service to house the file for the “Fully_Loaded” version of the house.  The link is at the bottom of this post. Smiley

The download file will include everything  you see in the slide-show pictures.  I’ve checked with all the original creators regarding their policy on uploading with lots/houses.  ALL links and credits are listed below with ONE tiny exception…

I have no idea who made the “high-intensity halogen wall lights” that I used throughout the house.  I don’t know where they came from… they were in some “set” or house that I downloaded myself.  If anyone knows- tell me- and I will gladly add the link/credit. Wink

I removed all the recolor files and anything else that wasn't necessary... but you can use my list of links to go get any objects/recolors/etc that I removed from the main files.

If you don’t like my interior decorating, aren’t into massive amounts of cc, or would just rather do-it-yourself… I’ve also included a “Bare_Basics” file which is JUST the house with minimal CC used for the building of the house- but NO extra CC and NOT Furnished.  The link is at the bottom of this post. Smiley

The download file will include things like paint, floors, windows, doors, etc. but does not include any furnishings, plumbing, or custom objects.

The trees/plants are included with the lot but you will need to go get the waterfall that goes with it from the links below (bermude set).

To make your waterfall "not float" in air you can use the MoveObjects On cheat and stack two concrete pillars on top of each other then place two more the same way- next to the first and put the waterfall on top.  (see pics)

If you download the “house only” file and can’t figure out the floorplan there is a handy layout/map in the slideshow- you can save the picture and use it for reference.  Also- I have included links/credits in the pictures of each room to help you find the objects I used more easily. Smiley

HERE are all the credits / links for the CC I used to furnish and build the house (as seen in my pictures).  (WHEW- it's long- bear with me!)

:worship: ALL OF YOU FOR READING THIS MASSIVE POST!!! :worship:

I apologize for the length but this is a huge house and has a huge list of cc and creators to credit and link... and IF I left anyone/thing out... just let me know. Wink
]

NOTE:  This is a MASSIVE house on a HUGE lot... with TONS of CC… it does take a few seconds longer to load when you move in… the screen will go black… it’s OK…  just be patient and give the game a chance- I tested it- it won't crash. Wink

(unless you have hacks/mods/cc that conflicts with something in the cc I used- I cannot predict this for you- sorry.  Try using Paladin’s Mod Conflict Utility from http://www.simwardrobe.com if you run into a problem.  Also- you should install using Clean Installer http://sims2pack.modthesims2.com to be sure!)

I have no idea the effects of downloading a house that is full of EP/SP stuff if you don’t have the proper EP/SP yourself… because I have all of them it is something I’ve never wondered about… I imagine that the stuff won’t work without the right ep’s/sp’s… so again… all I can say is USE CLEAN INSTALLER and pick and choose what you want to install into your own game. Wink

TERMS OF USE / POLICIES:

DO NOT REDISTRIBUTE, UPLOAD TO THE EXCHANGE/PAYSITES, CLAIM AS YOUR OWN WORK- ANY OF THE CC I USED/INCLUDED WITH THIS HOUSE.  I WAS VERY CAREFUL TO CHECK ALL THE ORIGINAL CREATORS POLICIES!  IT TOOK A LOT OF TIME TO LINK AND CREDIT ALL OF THEM!  IF YOU USE ANY OF THE CC IN YOUR OWN LOTS/HOUSES/STORIES/PICTURE THREADS/ETC *BE SURE* TO USE MY LIST OF LINKS/CREDITS TO DETERMINE EACH CREATORS POLICY AND TO GIVE THEM ALL PROPER CREDIT WITH A LINK BACK TO THEIR ORIGINAL WORK!!!   Thanks! Wink

***PLEASE DO NOT -UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES- AND PENALTY OF DEATH BY VISCIOUS RABBIT ATTACK- UPLOAD THIS HOUSE TO THE EXCHANGE OR ANY PAYSITES (Including Donation Sites) OR CLAIM IT AS YOUR OWN WORK!***

I will hunt you down with my neurotic pet rabbit, "Lucifer Cotton-Tail" (no, I'm not kidding) and have him chew out your eye-balls (and other tender parts) if I see this house in anything but your picture threads!

Oh- and if you use it in your pic/threads- please, credit me and link back to this thread, pretty please?  Cheesy

That said- Thanks and ENJOY! Wink

HERE ARE THE DOWNLOAD LINKS:

THIS is the link to get the “FULLY_LOADED” house:

(file name: RedRoseTeaManorFullyLoaded.rar, file size: 19.17MB, description:  RedRoseTea Manor Fully-Loaded)

THIS is the link to get the “BARE_BASICS” house:

http://www.megaupload.com/?d=GW28MNCX

(file name:  Mediterranean Mansion.rar , file size:  3.61MB, description:  RedRoseTea Manor Bare-Basic)

HOW TO DOWNLOAD FILES-

*You will be taken directly to the site and given a three letter code to enter into a box and then you just click download.*

(Site uses no spy-ware / mal-ware according to their terms/info. I’ve not had any problems with the site or anything I’ve uploaded/downloaded using their utilities.  I don’t take any responsibility, however, if you run into issues with them.  As with all things- use your noodle- decide for yourself- and use at your own risk.)

*Files are rar format- containing the Sims2Pack- just download, save to desktop, unzip using winrar, then double click to install Sims2Pack using the sims2pack installer.*

PS- THIS IS MY FIRST HOUSE UPLOAD- so, while I hope it is flawless, I doubt in all sincerity that it is.  IF you have blue flashing "objects" it is likely because I didn't include the mesh *either by mistake or because the original creator's policy wouldn't allow it*, deleted the wrong recolor file, or some other silly mistake on my part... however... all the links are here... you should be able to find anything you need to make things work!  Wink

thankyou so much this house is totally brilliant.  I had a little problem downloading this but sheer pigheadedness won the day lol. I tried to download it about 20 times and got the page you do not have permission to view this page.  If any one else has problems and doesn't have a download manager they should check to see if they have a programme that speeds up their internet.  I had google web accelerator. I am not brilliant with computers so I really feel as if I have won something with this house. Now going to repeatedly motherlode my sim

You're welcome... and so sorry you had trouble with the download. Sad

I think this site has it's own built in "download accelerator" so maybe that conflicts with any you might already be using?  Not sure. (sorry)  Yes- you are going to need a very wealthy sim to buy the house- especially in it's furnished state. Wink

Thanks!  Yes--- it's HUGE.  Cheesy

Quote from: Allie_Dannie;1301948
i have to agree with BlooM here its massive! it must have took you ages to build that house! you did a really good job with it though i really like it. won't your game go really really slow with it.

Thanks!  It only took about three days- three days that I didn't even sleep- LOL

In all honesty... I believe that the capabilities of ones computer, the amount of "stuff" (cc) you already have in your game, and if you are closing out your back-ground tasks has a LOT to do with how well this house will load, play, and how slow/fast your game will play.

I ummm... sort of... well... made SURE to buy a new pc that would have NO problems running all my sims stuff (and I have a crap-load) and then  I went ahead and added 2 extra gigs of memory, a high-end, extremely advanced, top of the line graphics card, and a better monitor....  But I don't have a problem, honest, I can stop playing the sims anytime I feel like it. Cheesy
It takes just about 2 seconds for the fully-furnished house to load in my game.  Wink  Then it doesn't seem to play any slower than usual.  I also use GunMod's *MTS2* camera hack--- so it makes it easier/faster to zoom in and out on the HUGE house. Smiley

Hope this helps clear up any questions anyone might have.

My best advice---- KNOW what your pc is capable of handling--- this house is MASSIVE and FULLY LOADED (if furnished) as noted in the thread/title. Wink

I might try to build a "smaller" more playable version of this floor plan at a later date for those of you that want it but are not able to "handle" the enormity of it all. Wink

You're welcome and THANK YOU for letting me know that it "works brilliantly".  I was really worried (being the first house I've ever uploaded) that I'd mess up something somewhere.  Cheesy
