Lightning struck the balcony flowers, build and buy mode is disabled and the fire man said it looks like trouble because he can't reach the fire. He is not leaving and every passerby is coming through my house to come and look at the unreachable fire :smt120

Funny enough, my own household who lives there did not even react with the fire, doing their own thing not bothered about everyone coming in their house :happy8:

Thank goodness for rain Cheesy It started to rain and killed the fire. The Fireman left (very tired I may add) and all the neighbours left with green stinky smoke surrounding them all. So problem solved Smiley

That happened to me once with a fire in a tree on the street. The tree had a small fence around it and the fireman couldn't get to it, nor could anyone else. Build/buy wouldn't enable despite InSim after the fire started, the game base code overrides everything at that point. I think possibly the window, being a part of the wall and not an access like a door, is considered to be blocking access to the fire. I removed a section of the decorative fence. I don't know what might be done for window boxes. I'll have to experiment a bit.

I noticed with the InSIM (Sim version), if you left click on the ground, the option comes up to extingush fires. I've done that more than once. More times than I care to remember.

you must have the game on pause when you enable buy mode, or it will most likely grey out again.
