Since we are now able to add roads to our lots, thanks to Mootilda's Lot Adjuster, (http://sumomo.modthesims2.com/showthread.php?t=282409), I thought it would be nice to have functional back alleys, but normally the roads are too far apart.

This is a very simple neighborhood with streets added at a reasonable distance (one and three lot tiles) behind the roads meant to be the front of the houses. I would have liked also a two-tile option, but SimCity4 won't let me do it.

There are many great creations with simulated back alleys. Maybe with this neighborhood they can be functional.
It would be nice if the alleys could be seen in a different shade. Light gray, for example, but I don't think that is or will ever be possible.

Directions: This file should not be placed in the Downloads folder.. After extracting, it goes to My documents>EA Games>The Sims 2>SC4Terrains.

Beach lots can be placed in many places along the waterfront roads, but not everywhere.

I'm sorry, I'm probably having a very platinum blond moment here. On the first image there are lines to point out Alleys. But to me it looks like regular roads. I know of the program you're refering to but don't get how you imagine I should use it, on the roads you point out, to make alleys?

Simale:
You are right; the "alleys" are just regular roads. The only advantage is that they are placed at a distance where they can be used as back alleys. Later today I will upload some examples of houses that can use that functionality.

Wow now I understand. This is a great thing you've made here. I'm amazed that different vehicles stops at different sides of the house. Fantastic. Thanks for showing me the greatness of your creation. Smiley
