Uninstalling/reinstalling help

Ok, I just recently uninstalled/reinstalled but I'm not sure if I did it correctly, I'm still having some problems, even without any Downloads. Can I please have uninstalling, reinstalling instructions? I know, i'm stupid.

To unistall the Sims2 and all expansion packs, drag the following to the trash;
The Sims2 folder
'home folder/documents/Ea Games/TheSims2 folder
'home folder/Library/preferences/com.aspyr The Sims2 plist.file
'home folder/library/Preferences/com.aspyr The Sims2 Body Shop. plist file
'home folder/library/Prferences/com.aspyr. The Sims2 Package Installer. plist file

My main sims 2 folder is  under hard drive. To find the rest  I go to the little house(home folder)/documents....and little house/library/preferences. Like listed above by rosidbon. Just the first part is different.
