    Reason of delay
Some wonder why the Sims 3 was delayed. Most think it is for fixing bugs, but in a Gamespot article, EA made clear that this extra time is used to market the game better. They see The Sims 3 as one of the most important launches in their company's history.

well they damn well better release it without all the chuffing bugs in it then - perhaps if it's so damn important they may actually make an effort this time?

but then ....... this is EA we're talking about :S

Ew look how fake and cartoonish those screenshots look? It's sad that the only screenie that looks somewhat realistic is the sim in the purple go-go boots rolleyes if the game looks like that when I get it it will be going right back to the store for a refund! that is just sickingly dissapointing if the sims look like that, I mean look at the child in the rainboots [WTF?] They look sims from TS1!

Yeah you are totally right, i thought the same thing. EA is tryin to make the sims 3 looks so realistic that it looks cartoonish - almost fake. It's a dissapointment. and i am happy with the sims 2 anyways, despite the new things ea is adding to the sims 3 sims 2 is perfectly fine and the graphics are way better. whats the point in fixing something that doesnt need to be fixed? I dont want sims 3..LOL Undecided

I got an e-mail from Amazon UK last night to tell me that the launch had been delayed to June i got so p!ssed off that I cancelled my order.  Now I'm calmer I'm going to have to re-pre-order the thing.  I was getting really excited the closer it got (I don't really know why :-D) and now I'm just ho-hum again.  Cry

play.com have changed it now to 5th June, but it still has the prima guide as being released on 20th Feb - if that is the case then I guess we can safely say that the extra months delay isn't for adding new content!

Im just astonished that EA with all those creators couldnt have made up sims that look better than that.I hope sales will be considerably down when It comes out, show our dissatisfaction.lol.

In my opinion and this could be just me talking blah blah blah but I think honestly with the economy in such shambles that EA thinks that there not going to be able to make there quota for this fiscal year releasing the game in Feb, I mean it's like this half the damn country is out of job and it doesn't seem like to me that the president is doing anything to help the crumbling economy like he 'said' he would, and selling crap like there showing in those screenshots do you really think people is going to shell out 40-50$ for a game that looks WORSE than its precessor? tongue
