One of my sims has a romantic relationship with the butler: they hang out after work and such but when he leaves and you want to call and invite him he’s not in the phone book… Is it really supposed to be like this? Can’t you invite him? Marry him?

He's not in the phone book for me too. The only way to socialize him is to answer "the Sim is leaving" after his work. I guess you can ask to marry him in this time if their relations are with big love but if the landlord becomes the husband (and a part of your family) another landlord will be create to watch over the apartment. tongue So it's not a way to avoid rents. Paladin has a fix for this on Simwardrobe.  It's designated for FT by works with AL.
