AL Problem with Roommates

Whenever I get a room mate, they never ever show up. They're in the family list of Sims, along with my Cat.

Whenever I right click the roommate's icon, it would be tracking my cat instead of the actual guy.

The roommate never shows up... why's this?!

I updated my AL expansion....

I do have CC, but... if I have a bad CC, I wouldn't know which would be causing the problem.. because I have a lot.

Might the Insimenator be the problem as well? I don't know, but this is seriously annoying!!

This does sound like it could be caused by custom content- most likely hacks. To test this backup your userdata files (Documents\ EA Games\ The Sims 2) and then test the game with your Downloads folder removed. If it works, you know your CC is the problem and you need to do a 'binary search' (I call it the 50% method) to find the problem file(s):
