I don't know if anyone else has this problem.  When I put the disc in the drive, it does not read at all.  It just continues to turn in the drive and the install screen does not come up at all.  I have all the other expansion and stuff packs installed and they play just fine.  Any help and suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Do you have a DVD drive?  AL comes only on DVD.

you could try opening it up in windows explorer and see if can access the auto run file manually. If that doesn't work, contact the shop you bought it from and see if you can exchange it

Can the drive play movies? If not then it is a CD drive not a DVD drive.

Do you have enough RAM run to install another ep, and what operating system are you using?

Might be the disk it's self, go toolbar

1. Click "START", click "RUN", select "Browse"
2. In the new window, under my computer, look for the icon of your cd "SIMS2EP8"
3. right click "AUTORUN" or double click

I was finally able to fix the problem.  My sister had to buy another drive for her computer, ouch.  At least I was able to install it on my laptop.  Thanks for the help.
