and finally (this one is MOST important to me) is it okay to install the Free Time inteen on the Apartment Life game?

If you've got the latest of those four that are AL compatible they are find.  You can do what you want as far as installing the FT version of Inteen, but it's already be said by Jase, the creator that it's not compatible.  There are users that choose to not see the problems it creates, but there are problems.

I don't run any of those except Intenn and, as far as I'm concerned it's a no go with AL; too many problems from making shadow sims to not allowing some of the new items to show in the catalog to causing the game to crash.

If you're still not sure, back up your game by copying your sims 2 folder in EA to desktop or somewhere and try them. If you game doesn't work they could be the problem.

Thanks much to everyone. I decided to not install inteen but I guess because i have the AL version of the rest it shall be fine.
