So, I had this problem back in the old version and it has cropped up again in this one. When I have the larger family hack installed, my sims pop out of watching TV when I ask them to change the channel, or queuing up for the toilet if I click on the shower. Is this fixable, or a conflict with another hack? I will try playing it with Testing Cheats Enabled and get back to you, but if it was something that had been reported before, I figured I would just mention it here.

You should run HCDU to check for any conflicts and please post your error log in a new thread in the Mods Help Section.

Yeah, ran the utility and cleared up the problem, looks like I had more than one version of a couple of non-autonomous hacks. Doh! Everything is working peachy now.

Dumb question... do the Newsons have some kind of invisible parents tokens or anything else that borks the count?  When I try to move them into a household with more than two people, the lot goes red, the warning pops and no amount of clicking will change it.  The mod works great otherwise-- Don Lothario's condo is full of dogs and cats :smt120

umm, okay. Let me ask this:  How many pets does the game allow with the least amount of sims without any mods?

It allows 6 pets max & btw you can increase the max with the cheat code below
uintProp maxTotalSims 50
uintProp maxTotalHumans 35
uintProp maxTotalPets 15
just use what ever # you want
 
you can type that in the file "userStartup.cheat" located in "My Documents\EA Games\The Sims 2\Config" if its not there just create a new file.

Use NOTEPAD not Word Document to edit your userStartup file which you can find there. Word Document has special formatting rules that the game won't recognize whereas Notepad doesn't.

thanks, you know, I tried it.  I made a new file from notepad and copy and pasted what you provided into it. I then went to a family that had 6 pets and there was no option to try for kitten/puppy...
