As requested:
This mod allows you to have your sims cheer up other sims.
This mod is compatible with EP3 & FFS.
4/20/06 New version 1.0b Cheer up will no longer appear while sims are swimming.
5/11/06 Version 1.0c the cheer up option will no longer appear when you click on a baby or toddler.
6/17/06 Version 1.0d I added more tests to hide the menu when needed.
I try to ensure that all of my mods are 100% bug free but sometimes a bug pops up that I wasn’t aware of; if you find a bug please send me a private message; I can usually fix it within a couple of minutes.

Ok maybe that action got lost in an EP (but I am pretty sure I saw it recently) but doesn't it come-up whenever a Sim as a low playful need (or was it another need or is it when their aspiration is low, I am at work right now)?  You clic on the Sim and in "talk" menu you have the option to cheer-up?  Is it still available in the game or not?  In other words, do I need this fix to have it back?

Or is it that you made it so we can use it at any time we wish?

You clic on the Sim
I think it only appears when the other sims aspiration is in the red & their social is low also I think it's under appreciate.../cheer up & it only appears for nice sims this allows you to have all sims do the interaction, so yes it's up to you if you wish to use this, I made it because someone requested it.

Thankyou Squinge; I often felt a crying sim should be able to be cheered up, and it really bothered me when another sim (like a besotted spouse) was unable to do anything about it - ta muchly.

I remember when the "cheer up" interaction caused crushes in the base game - so glad mods (and then later, Maxis themselves) fixed that.

Thanks for answering my question.

Lol you do not need to justify why you made it, silly Squinge :smile bi:

I just wanted to make sure the option was still in-game, and you confirm that to me with more details I could ever ask.  Thanks.

EDIT:  I corrected an obvious typo I made.. Silly MissDoh!
