I have been trying to figure out why all my custom content: objects, floors, walls, build everything shows in my SIMS2 U except skins, genetics, accesories. What have I done wrong? Everything was fine until I downloaded the EXP. and they all disappeared. Would someone please help.

Sure sounds that way to me?
if you downloaded it' ...
then you got a game that doesnt allow people to play the full game unless you buy it!

My suggestion is go and get the game from the store ..
then you can get the "build mode" custom content to work as well.

Some people use downloaded and installed as the same words...if you mean you didnt' buy it or someone didn't give you a legit copy, then you need to go away...we do not support theft.

I misspoke. What I did was  installed University from a purchased  (by me) CD-ROM. I didn't even know you could actually download it from the internet.

Now that I have corrected my terminology, can anyone please give me a little help? :?  Sad [/u]

Did you double check the use custom content option in the game options and make sure it is selected?

Did you remove your downloads folder before you installed University? This is a known error...some people who did not move their folder did infact lose all of their content.

The Custom Content option is on but I did not remove my downloads folder before I installed U. So even if I downloaded those same items after installing Univ. they still won't show up in my game?

My downloads are in a folder named "downloads". The path is doc and settings-my name-eagames-SIMS2- downloads.

I hope I am answering your question and not out in left field. Smiley  :?
