Using brands?

Okay, I hope I posted this into a right place. Here goes. I'm building a big olympic ice skating centre and I'm currently making the walls. Now, I just started to wonder if it would be okay to use brand logos as they are at the edges of the rink (hope that made sense) or do I have to turn them into simlish? Would I be stepping into brand owners toes? I do remember that there was some hassle about Starbucks sometime ago but it's not like I would be using a brand to build a shop like that or anything. It's just advertisement. Thoughts, anyone? :scratch:

Touchy subject. Within the simming community, everyone takes a chance when using real brands. It's alright as long as your not making any profit off it, because doing anything of the sort brings "unwanted attention" here.
