I have all expansions and stuff packs up to apartment life.  I have took out all my downloads, saved sims etc. no custom content. My body shop crashes, and the acual game crashes, Yes have installed AL patch, and still the same thing. Any ideas??

Try deleting your groups.cache and your accessories.cache files.

They are just inside your Sims 2 folder.

They become crroupt after a bit.

Everytime I install new downloads or take something out, I always delete them.

Yeah, that's what I always do. Those two cache files are like little databases. The 'accessory.cache' file is the Bodyshop database and the 'Groups.cache' is the database for the rest of the CC in your game (eg CC, object recolours, neighbourhood objects). Like what EKozski said, these databases gets corrupted, especially when you install a LOT of CC all at the same time.
