Lol, nah, just make sims while the TV is on, and when it comes to that crucial point of naming them, stare at the screen and wait for some credits to roll Cheesy

You know, that's not a bad idea.

I am so horrible when it comes to naming my Sims.

On the alien Sim I did, someone gave me a link to naming guide online, and I came up with a whole history just by using that. His name, home Planet, and Star System. All I had to do was, fill in the blanks. That was easy.

Thanks hon! Actually, back in my college days I knew a guy name Gervaise Smiley

For me, I have a huge book that I picked up that has names from all over. It's 574 pages of (over 30,000) names broken down by country and gender. Each entry has its origin, meaning, variants and pronunciation. I love it. It's actually a baby name book, but I got for my writing to help me come up with suitable names for my characters. (It's called A World of Baby Names by Theresa Norman, if anyone is curious)

Now that sounds cool! I'm going to do the google thing at some time and see what name builder sites, etc I can find!

I do that too, sabresfan, lol. Then I started staring at the TV screen - for some time my sims in my game had TV characters names, so that when I played a specific sim, I knew exactly when I made him/her - just by seeing the name :jester: Glad you like Gervaise!

Come to think of it, I think I was in first grade with a guy named Gervaise, at the time, of course, I had no idea how to spell it Cheesy Thanks for the tip on your name selection method :party1:

I agree.

If you look it over, you'll see how I came up with all those different names.
