I've wanted to do something like this for a long time, but up until now just haven't had the technical ability. Ultimately I'd have liked to create a set of weapons sims can duel each other with, but at this point I still don't have the BHAV skills to do that yet. This is a set of 11 new weapons cloned from the base game fingerprint scanner. Most of the replacement animations require BV. They can be found under Hobbies/Excersize. All of the weapons increase body skilling.

The Master's versions have extended animation loops and have a skill gain bonus slightly favors active sims.

Since these objects are cloned from the fingerprint scanner, the sim will "scan" objects to clean them. They might strike poses in front of mirrors, spar with chairs or tables, etc. In order to take these pix, I had to fill a room with invisible tables and invisible computers.

Awesome idea! Maybe it'd help to also make a sparring dummy out of an object that the fingerprint scanner can be used on, so that the room can contain some visible objects that it still makes sense for them to interact with using the weapons?

Can the scarecrow from Seasons be scanned?  That'd make a pretty decent sparring partner if so.

Just an idea, Paladin from Simwardrobe did some dualing swords using animations from Bon Voyage just wondered if you could incorperate that with your new weapons.

I've seen Paladin's dueling swords, that was actually one of the inspirations for these objects. Unfortunately, BHAVs aren't my strong suit and this is a very complex object involving a decorative object .package, an accesory .package, and a social object. I tried to reverse engineer it about 6 months ago, but... forget about it. At this point, it's too complex for me.

The scarecrow's a decorative object, isn't it? It should be scannable. Maybe I can make something approximately that size that looks like a sparring dummy.

You could try simply replacing the sword mesh Paladin uses with your weapons. And use your current animations as idle/transitional animations. I've created BHAVs before, so I could help you out.
