Augh! recently i've been have the same issues...i have an entire family where each person wants to be friends with themselves! hah! I think i used the InSim quick relations too quickly...

I think thats my problem too. Actually I only did it for the first few, then got tired and used SimPE for the rest. I had like a 100 sims to relink.

I've noticed on some things like the community coffee bar, you can order drinks for yourself too.  I haven't seen if you can woohoo with yourself yet :-P
