What happened is sims crashed "Application has terminated" during a save.  The cat was flagged as a human, it had no personality points.  The neighborhood.package file got corrupted.  I managed to clone and redo everyones stats into a new hood before the fireball blew away pleasantville.

I was trying to get her to play poker, but the sims kept resetting themselves.  I wish now I had made movies of poor kitty LOL.

Well it took about three or four days to restore everything.  Luckily Simpe could still read the file.  I'm going to write a small app that backs up the neighborhood everytime you start the game.
