Poor Alec is far too kind to get much nourishment from things other than macaroni and cheese. He's too busy saving young maidens from less scrupulous vampires (and then forgetting to ask the girls if they would like to donate blood for his cause... aka his tummy), and boring potential meal-providers to death with his life story while making them a sandwich when he invites them to his lair.
