You got lucky. The bridesmaid dress I wore to my older sister's wedding years ago was a complete monstrosity. I think someone had taken a fancy table cloth and crudely sewed into a dress. No amount of tape, fidgeting, or other tactics would get it to stay in place. To make it worse, the zipper on it was jammed into my lower back the whole time too.

Well if evil things weren't alluring in some way, would anyone ever turn to the dark side?

Oh my! That's horrible! I've only been to one wedding, and at the time my sister had broken her arm. She adorned a bright pink cast to compliment her maroon dress.
