The Sims 2 crashes

Hi

I have a problem with the sims 2. I've been playing the game for more than a year on my laptop and never had any problems. But now when I play after a little while (15min) my pc just shuts down, without a warning. I don't even get an error message, it just simply shuts down. I've got all the expansion packs and 2 stuff packs. I think the problem has something to do with my videocard, because i sometimes have the same problem when i'm just watching videos on youtube. I already updated all my drivers and directX. Is there anyone who can help me???

What are your computer specs? If you've had your video card for a while, then that could be the problem, but it could also be an issue with RAM. Without knowing more about your computer it's hard to tell.
