Hi guys, ok so i have been downloading some houses for the cc that come with them, because the actual lot never seems to show up in my game, problem is, the last 2 houses that i tried to make with all that content, are fine in build/buy mode, but when i put a family in them, and try to load it, they freeze at the loading screen with the picture of the family..

I am trying to figure out if any of the cc i have in those houses can cause this, maybe a missing mesh or something?

any ideas?

i hve the sims2pack clean installer, also one thing that came with the houses was some reflective floor/wall addons, and they show up blue in the catalog, could that be it?

For the houses not showing on Lots and Houses Bin, check your Teleport folder. If there is anything in there, delete it. The game is not always good at importing houses and if temporary files are left behind in the Teleport folder they can interfere with future house installations. It is safe to delete the contents of this folder - they are failed house installations.

As for the other stuff, it sounds like you are missing the meshes for the reflective floors. The most popular ones are by Murano at TSR. They are pay. The other, less popular ones, also used to be pay. They were from a set called Prada, but I can't remember the site. So you need to figure out which set you have - Prada or Murano, and get the meshes.

Try taking out the reflective floors before you try to enter a lot. If you don't have a top spec computer the reflective floors will lag your game something chronic. They are nice for picture taking but can be a burden in normal gameplay. Also, if you are using a lot of CC in a house, that will affect the load times as well. If you have used a truckload of CC on a lot you may find that it may take a good 15 or 20 minutes or even longer for the lot to load. And then it may crawl like molasses in January. Or it may not load at all because of the CC overload in there.

Ok, well my pc is pretty top end, only a few months old (amd phenom quad core, 4 gigs of ram, geforce 9800gt video card, etc) so i wont have a problem with that, and yeah the reflective floor came with a house download, i will try to get some meshes if i need them, problem is i put the family in that lot, and it wont load cause of that, cause it only works in build/buy mode.

ill keep trying, thanks, and more opinions are welcome.
