having problems installing downloads from modthesims!!!!

I'm sorry. I really don't know what problem it is you are having. The files you down load are either a .package file or a sims3pack. The .package file you install with the Helper Monkey. The sims3pack files you just double click to install. When I install a house that is a sims3pack I don't see another folder named lots.
Both file types show up in my game after installing them this way.

Didn't Delphie make the helper monkey compatible with Numenors' scriptorium, if so I would look him up on MTS2 and find his mod 'the scriptorium' it installs mods, stairs and fireplaces amoungst other things automatically. Worth a shot. ;)
