I know a couple things to help. Apply apple cider vinegar to the burn with a cotton ball. It will help prevent blistering and peeling. Sponging a lemon water mix made from the juice of three lemons added to two cups of water will cool the burn and act as a disinfectant. The tannins in tea help heal a sunburn too, so applying cold tea works too.

Right now I'm wide awake and wishing I could sleep, but I'm wrangling down some errant plot-bunnies for a story I'm working on instead.

I wish I had thought of this sooner: aloe vera has been a miracle application for me and my kids.

Yes, aloe vera works well. Especially if you put some aloe leaves in the freezer for a while and then squeeze the gel out. The gel won't freeze, but it will get cold and do a better job of soothing the burns.

Right now, I'm visiting my mom. We just finished decorating her Christmas tree and I've gone back to wrestling plot bunnies.

Planning what to get my family for christmas, talking to friends and cuddling my dog.
And I would use aloe vera.. but for some reason I'm allergic to that too.

Oh, Glamily, so sorry to hear that you are allergic to aloe.

Joy, freezing aloe-great idea, I must do that!

fatedicewolf, bad day!?! Oh, no. Better now, though, I hope.

Bloom, multi-tasking play?
