Waiting for my heart to quit racing after a seemingly out-of-nowhere storm started with a crash of thunder that sounded like gunshots and an explosion (I checked outside to make sure it wasn't ) dang near gave me a heart attack.

Celebrating the return of my computer, which I fondly call The Beast. It's been out of commission for 3 weeks and is now (hopefully) completely repaired.

Edit: Hopes are dashed. I still own an expensive brick.

Editing pictures for a new chapter, and spider hunting.

A creepy crawlie decided to get the first look at the new chapter, but unfortunately (for it, not me), I don't like bugs in my bed, so bye-bye spidey!

I almost think there's a nest of those somewhere around here. I've had visits from two of the same type in a few days (big, yucky thing), after having just a tiny opening on the door to get some air flow in the room.

Tax time is coming in the next few months
Using last year's total return amount as a starting point, I can assume that I'll only need to save up an additional $300-400 for a proper borderline OTT gaming laptop. ('cause I gots no real room in the house to put a desktop)
Sims 2 is going on it.
Sims 2, me the creative writer-y guy, y'know the drill: Stories I'll likely never write but postulate on endlessly.

Downloading everything from SS at GoS- which I participated in for the first time this year- and nursing yet another bacterial infection (making it my 7th in the past 10 months among other things.) And making wishlists on ikea for when I take a trip there (about 45 minutes and needs to be a long trip considering how big the store is!) in a couple of months. I'm really in need of storage for my daughter's room and our extra room/family room but I keep getting distracted by cute things my daughter would love once we put in her toddler bed in June.

Summoning up some motivation to finish a school assignment - which means writing about 1000-1500 words in addition to what I already have, and editing the rest so it's done by tomorrow morning. Yay (NOT!).
