i think the formal wears replaced the originals in my game. or it could have been that the particular tops that you used for this mesh were not originally meant by maxis to be in formal wear, but your versions are. if the latter is the case, that's perfectly fine. I just noticed that in every other category there was the original top or outfit with your mesh beneath it. however, in formal wear tops, your versions are the only ones there. i wanted to use the leopard print 3/4 sleeve shirt as a formal top but it only has tig ol bitties now.

Actually the question "Is it a clothing mesh or a body mesh?"  is valid,
because it looks like these are clothing meshes and not a body (incl. nude) mesh.
