S3 World Adventures - "Service Initialization Failed"

Hi all -


I have Qosmio PC Laptop. sims3 worked fine. Installed S3WA and then did update/patch. Cannot play game or install downloads.
Receive "Service Initialization failed (0x6224dd27).

 

I have already unistalled/reinstalled/repatched S3WA, unistalled/reinstalled/repatched BOTH S3 and S3WA (in case the problem was tied to CC), and I still get the same result.
Any thoughts? Advice? Help?  I've asked this question at Sims3 Support, but they haven't gotten back to me, and it's now three days.

Turns out it was a bad download - after I uninstalled everything and reinstalled Sims 3 I got the same error message which set me on the right track....
