OK my problem is, I have a few outfits that show up just fine in game however on the catalog they show up as maxis defaults. It makes it show as if I don't have the mesh for the outfit, but I do.

This is kind of annoying since I don't know which outfit is which. It only did this on a select few. I ran body shop hoping to snap a screen shot of my problem, but they show up just fine.

If anybody could help me out in resolving this annoyance I'd be very grateful. Thanks in advance.

You probably just have to regenerate your thumbnails. Go into Document/EA Games/The Sims 2 and delete the contents of your thumbnails folders. You'll probably find you get a bit of lag when you browse through your contents of your clothes, etc, but that's normal. It's just the game regenerating those thumbnails. It should do the trick and make them display properly.
