Some help, possibly?

Hello, my name is Kuro-chan.
I am a long time player of Sims games, and the other day I went to play my Sims 2 game.. and suddenly its as if the game isn't there but yet its still fully installed.
I had it all on my external hard-drive; expect the files that go to My Documents.

I uninstalled everything - and reinstalled. Half of the packs said they were still there. Half of them wont install correctly. Double Deluxe installs, but when I go to load the game only Riverblossom Hills shows.
I even reformatted my External drive, it still says the game is there which it isn't.

My boyfriend has tried to help with it, but he's as stumped as I am with it.

Any suggestions?

You can't just uninstall the Sims Double Deluxe. You have to uninstall, the Expansions.. IE Seasons. I usually uninstall them latest to first. 

I would try installing them to a different location.
