Do you need some type of mesh for the ones with pants? because they aren't showing in my game. the dresses show up though

that's exactly what's happened to me!! did you install the squinge mesh? cuz i didn't and maybe that's why. :-)

i did install it and it didn't show up but u don't need it unless u want pregnant sims to wear the clothes

Yes-you need a mesh from Parsimonius-Apologies, I thought I'd put it on my post. You can find it here: http://www.parsimonious.org/fashion2/meshes.shtml

Its the one in the middle on the top row called: mesh_kateparsfapbaggypj031205

Squinge's hacks are no longer available on this site as he has retired from the community. You could try using Tom's clothing tester from the BoolProp cheat.
