I have downloaded some nice hair meshes but they have a problem. There is a shadow over it! Take a look, I have the meshes and recolours, what is wrong?

It could be a problem with the texture mapping.  It could also be a problem with the mesh where the surface normals are not oriented properly, and so become consistently colored dark.

I would try a few other retextures (if there are any) to see if they exhibit the same phenomenon.  I'd have to actually look at the mesh in an editor to tell you if the mesh was bugged.  Have you posted these photos to the author's website?

All the textures are the same. With the same problem. I've seen other pics in other peoples games and they are fine. I'll tell the creators.

Looks like the normals are flipped. I guess it IS best to let the creators know.
