The first six months of the pregnancy flew by for both of them. Morgan’s stomach was growing nicely. In fact she was blooming. Much to Adams protests though, she had decided to keep her job with Kirsten, It felt as if she wasn’t relying on Adam for everything and in some way she was creating the life that her father had meant for her to have.
She still hadn’t spoken to her parents, but she did see Ethan and Alex at least once a week. They had no idea who she was as she was still too afraid to talk. Too scared of being rejected.
Adam hated it when she went to see them. She always returned looking sad as if she had taken the cover of the hole her family had left. Until she accepted that they weren’t part of her life or spoke to them, she was just going to go through this over and over again, but whatever she decided Adam knew that he would support her.
“We’re going out.” Adam said as Morgan came back from one of her family visits. “I want to take you round New Hampton Market, if you feel up to it.”
Weakly she agreed. The last thing she wanted was to go out, but sitting around the flat sulking wasn’t a good idea either.
“Are you ok baby?” he asked.

“Yeah.” She sighed. “Just tired.”
He folded his arms around her and held her as much as protruding stomach would allow.
“We can stay here if you like.”
“No. We’ll go out. I’m just a bit tired that’s all. The fresh air will probably do me good.”

He knew she was lying to herself as much as him, but he wasn’t going to say anything. She had to admit it to her self first that seeing her family the way she did was taking it out of her.

The market was busy considering it was mid week, but the sun was shinning and it was nice to be out. They walked round the stalls for most of the afternoon. Morgan looking at stuff she wished they could buy. Everything from nice lamps to rugs to things they didn’t need.
“I’m just going to pop to the toilets.” Morgan said to Adam after a while. “This little one does nothing for my bladder.” She laughed.
“Ok. I’ll just be over there” he said pointing to the stall that was decorated in numerous ornaments.

He smiled as he watched her walk away. The last six months had been so good. Everything just seemed to be going right for them. He had a surprise for Morgan though, he hoped she would like it; it had taken him months to get.

“Hello Adam. Long time no see.”
Adam turned around after paying the man behind the stall, to face Melody. “Afternoon.” He said bordering on anger.
“You look good.”
“Melody stop with the pleasantries. It really doesn’t suit you.”

She smiled at him, completely unfazed by his harsh tone. “I missed you.” She purred.
“Goodbye Melody.”
Melody smiled as she grabbed him by the arm and spun him round. Adam didn’t have time to react. It all happened to fast as she spun him so they were face to face before putting her arms around him and bringing his mouth to hers.
Adam pulled back shocked as he heard a cry from behind him.

He caught site of the back of Morgan as she ran out of the market. “Morgan!” he shouted.
Melody stood in front of him laughing. “Oh that was priceless.” She said.
“Your pathetic Melody.” He spat before running off to find Morgan.
