I thought the Maxis dark skintone wasnt exactly African. So I made it for my African sims. These are the barbie skins, no nudie parts! I like the way they fit in with the maxis style. I'll be doing more things to add to this skintone. Like eyes and makeup. I have a paler skintone on the way.

good job StellaBaby - I can't agree more - the Maxis dark is not at all like any of my friends in colouration.  I have been dissatisfied with is since day one.  My own experience was that making a dark skintone is harder than the lighter ones.  I fought with Body Shop to keep it from destroying the details, and never did get quite what I wanted; close but not close enough for my liking :lol:

You have done a great job with these and the rich cocoa colouration is delicious and sexy!

I can't wait to add a sense of authenticity to my African-American Sims.
I couldn't agree more, the darker Maxis skintones are less than authentic and it ruins it to an extent. Thank you so much for these skins, you can be sure they'll be put to good use.
