If You're Not Playing Sims 2 What Other Game Do You Play.

About FFXII I haven't played it. After all this time Nomura has got my attention again when they announced FFXIII Versus. Although I don't like Sony, now I'm willing to pay for a PS3 if I am to play it. I have a feeling the story is going to be wonderful -- I can't play games with not a good story in the background. Even "Dirge of Cerberus" that was in short a shooter game kept me hooked because of Vincent's story. Another tortured soul.

I doubt they'd cheat Xbox 360 owners out of FF XIII, so you could always get one of those and still hate Sony. Plus, Xbox's are cheaper.

Nomura has made it crystal clear and I seriously doubt he will change his mind. Magazine reporters keep asking the same question and he keeps giving the same answer. So, I won't avoid giving my money to Sony after all. Grrrr

I just read up on Versus, as well. It looks like I have to expand on my job search, and the first thing I buy will be a PS3. So it can sit around with all the other game systems I have, just so I can play Final Fantasy. lol.

Personally I have avoid buying game consoles as a measure of self-disciplined -- I played PS2 games in my friends consoles. This will be my first time getting a console for real. Damn you, Noctis!

As for Xbox versus PS3, I am told PS3 is better regarding graphics and all, but then again it's Sony, and they have this "constipation" about locking games according to region and all, which can be a problem. [Even their DVD players for TV are strictly and specifically categorised for specific region. So you can't play NTSC or PAL if you're in a different region. Soooo, last Christmas we threw out of the window anything labelled Sony in our house and replaced them with Philips. Now we can buy and watch movies from all around the world. lol]

I don't have as many as others do, and I can't play the other FF games that weren't released on PS's, but I have the original PS, PS2, Nintendo 64, Xbox, Xbox 360, GameBoy, GameBoy Advance ... and the only ones I touch are the PS2 and original Xbox. It's such a waste of money.  Even if I do get a PS3 I will probably never touch it except to play that XIII Versus. Woo, 400 dollars for one game (that will be an extra 60, too!) ... they really find ways to take your cash, don't they? 

And I hear you about the stupid region specific DVD players. I'm partial to my cheap 30 dollar one I was able to make region free. But that's another subject entirely ... lol.

I think Square Enix should buy me a PS3. They owe me after X-2. No, really. I lost IQ points playing that game that I'll never get back.

I have a saved game for Orphan: Scion of Sorcery but haven't played in YEARS

And lately I play Guild Wars a lot.  I'm finally above level 10!

Yeah, Guild Wars is by the same Korean company that produced Lineage II and don't know how much patience you've got, but it might take you forever to advance much.

I have Guild Wars: Nightfall ... sadly I got it when it was brand spanking new and 70 dollars, and I played it twice. This thread is making me realize how much money I waste. I'm getting kind of depressed. 

And I was just about to say if AxelVal needed help with XII I've played it enough to be able to help. I guess AxelVal is covered should she need help. (However, the last time I played VIII was in the 90's and I'm afraid my memory is terrible)
