What is the size of your 'Downloads' Folder ?

Mine is over 8GB.  25+K files and takes over 30 minutes to get to a lot.  Really wish someone would write a program like there is/was for Sims 1 to compress lots of files into a single file.  Would really speed loading.  Course before it would be useful, you'd have to clean up the downloads folder which is a problem in itself.

3.27GB, and god knows how many thousands of files. I've compressed a great deal of the files contained within, however. I've found that object meshes tend to be the worst culprits when it comes to beefing up the download folder capacity; I had a bed mesh from Avenida Sims which was over 4MB in its uncompressed state, and after using the Compressorizer it shrunk down to 210KB!! How amazing is that?

Mine is only 425 MB as of today. Before I re-installed, my old folder was about 2 GB, and my game was crashing constantly-I couldn't even get to a neighborhood without it crashing. All I have is some default versions of skins and eyes, a few hacks, a lot of hairs, a lot of clothes, and some custom objects, wallpaper, and floors.

103mb 394 files...my computer seems to get slower at about 100mb (can't quite understand why cause I got more then enough room for 10g if I wanted...I'll never understand computers). So I constantly have to go through stuff and get rid of things if I want new downloads. All my downloads are clothing, hair, make-up...object recolors.

I can never seem to get my download folder under control.  I wish someone would come up with a program that would detect all that you are currently using in your Sim houses and sims clothing and genetics and allow you to delete the rest.  I can always add the things back into the game if I need them, but it sure would be good to get rid of unused stuff and unused recolors of stuff.

Now its 4.11 11,051 files but this was after all my cc was wiped out by "The Compresinator" a month or two ago. (sniff**sniff) I still have nightmares...

I searched the thread and CynaraBlade said she used and it was good. Im happy that no one else (so far) had to deal with the loss of 7.5 gb of CC as did I (some from paysites too). I actually came across it the first day it was posted on the site djssims.com. Best wishes to all who wanna try it though, I never will again. Cant deal with that much pain again, that much heart break ...(sobbing uncontrollably)

I also want to delete unused downloads.....my folder is under control at 1.4 GB but i have to manually delete files in CAS or Bodyshop!!   PAIN in the neck because those programs don't allow you to delete multiple files at once.....also when you delete a custom recolor or outfit ......it goes back to the first thumbnailed pictureof the file........Talk about Frustration!!

sesimie i hate that too.  i use clean installer to delete most of the clothing in my downloads folder.  mine is way out of control right now: 4.54 GB with 11,341 files.  sheesh.  my game takes a million years to load and i want to punch it in the face.  i have a bunch of stuff that could be deleted im just lazy about it.
