Resolved: sims emiting smoke and electricity

hi

my sim emites smoke and electricity from her lower legs!!!

it happened the 1st time from maker her use the thinking cap too much (i think)!

but after a few good nights sleep it went away!

then sometime it came back....and now ive been playing for a while and it wont go away!

is there anything i can do???

ok try one of these and see if it corrects the problem:

try changing the sim's appearance with a mirror, save and exit the lot
try moving the family out and back into a different lot
try using the boolprop testingcheatsenabled true cheat and then shift-click the sim and force an error, you will want to turn the cheat off after trying this so type boolprop testingcheatsenabled false in the cheat console

i just thought of something though!!!

i saw a post (i dont remember where) but the users sim had water ripples stuck near them...similar problem that my sim has!!!

i then noticed that the smoke and electricity are the same that a sim emites after using one of the aspiration rewards that boosts up all your motives! sorry dont remember the name!!! its almost like the animation that happens after using the machine stayed stuck on the sim!!! however i did not pull her out of the machine using moveobjects on.....so i duno! but im no pro tho...

You could trying opening the cheat box and typing moveobjects on. Then, go into buy mode, delete the sim, save and exit the lot and re-enter. The game will reset the sim and you'll find her by the mailbox, hopefully glitch free.

I hesitated to suggest that - I have had sims disappear forever before one of the patches.

Hmm...that's interesting to know. I've never had it happen in my game. I guess I'm just one of the lucky ones

i dont know exactly how but it stoped!!! i didnt even have a chance to try the 3 suggestions and then i noticed there was no more smoke n $4!+!

i think it might have been by playing with some cheats...but i didnt use  testingcheatsenable!

the funny thing is that it had been doing this for almost 2 week! and then a day or 2 after posting it just stops!
