Disappearing Body in Elder Pets

Not sure if this is supposed to happen or not:

When my pets become Elders, their bodies disappear.  Their heads and tails are still visible, but no body or legs.

Now, is this normal, or some glitch in the game?  I just downloaded the Pets patch and I don't notice 'fixing invisible pet elders' or anything like it on the corrections list.

I've never had a pet disappear.  Sink into the floor/ground every now and then, but not disappear as you describe.  It sounds like you may have some mods/hacks that aren't Pets compatible.  It's just a matter of pulling out the mods, then adding them back into the game a bit at a time, checking in game each time to try to identify the problem.

Was it a Maxis breed or a downloaded animal? I don't know if that makes a difference or not, I'm just curious.

It's always a Maxis animal, I don't have any dog/cat downloads.  And strangely enough, I've had this problem even when I didn't have any mods on the game...

Thanks for the link!  I'll try changing their appearances and seeing what happens...
