Ok...how do i explain this. Lets say i have a lamp in a room, usually that lamp would lightin up the room and the objects, but for some reason the lamp does not light up the objects, they remain dark. If anyone know's what i mean then could you please tell me why this is happening...

ok - then it sounds like you may be having a driver problem - check for an updated driver for your video card.  I have not seen any complaints like this with others not having  no lighting mods, so it is pure guess work, so don't beat me if this proves to be a wrong guess.

Or...you could check your settings.The shadows or lighting efects.Set them high.
