Ok well this is driving me nuts! My sound wont work....and ALL my downloads disappeared! I had to have had over 300 downloads....and I have no idea what happened to them. Is there anyway to reverse this or am I doomed to redownload everything?

Do you mean your actual downloads folder disappear are they are just not appearing in the game anymore?

The folder you want is My Documents\EA Games\The Sims 2\Downloads.  Check the Program files\EA Games\The Sims 2 folder and see if you have a Downloads folder there.  And if there is, is your missing CC there.  They should all be in the My Documents... path.

If you recently install a new ep, it is not unusual the game reset your settings.  Make sure you cc stuff is still enable in the game options.  If not, enable it, quit the game and then restart the game again and all your cc will be back.
