Sent to college but no college choices

After playing my town for awhile, I had a number of teens to send to college.  I put them into several different colleges and had the same issue with each of them.

Their aging bar appears that they have just entered into their teen life.  
They do not have options to select a career/degree.
They do not have options to write a term paper.
They do not have the college bar showing the various semesters.

The only they do have is the reminder to select a room door.  I have tried moving them in and out of different colleges but it doesn't work.  Any ideas?

hmmm i moved 2 sims to college and they arrived there as teens. they got out of the taxi then they aged into YA. then we chose their rooms.

What you're describing sounds like moving the teens to college through something other than the telephone/computer College-Move to College action.

If you did  sent the teens off like that, you've got some mod conflict going on.

yes, I sent them off using the telephone.  I guess I'll have to look through the mods I recently downloaded and see if anything stands out.
