It's been fixed! If anyone else has this problem, scroll down the page for the solution!
:3

I've been having a problem ever since I installed the Sims2 Seasons.
I have University, Nightlife, Open For Buisness, Pets and Seasons installed.
I don't know if this should go into the Seasons problem section of this forum because I'm not %100 percent sure that it is the Seasons expansion pack causing this though it really does seem like it.
So I'm very sorry if I misplaced it.
I'm also sorry if a problem like this has been adressed in the stickies or
something and I didn't see it.

The problem is that when I create a sim and put the sim into a house their face gets distorted. It's mainly their mouths, but there's also some distortion
to their eyes and noses. Sims I created before and after installing Seasons
have this problem. Downloaded sims, however, don't have this problem.

You can see how they're suppose to look from their icons.
The girl with red streaked hair is a sim I created before I installed Seasons.
The girl with green hair is a sim I downloaded. You can't really see from her face/icon but there is no problem.
The guy is a sim I created after installing Seasons.

I've had this problem for a month or so and have been unable to find a situation like mine. I've seen one's simular, where the faces revert to a default face, and have tried the things suggested for them but with no results. I'm not very good at computers so I'm at a complete loss as to
what could cause this.

Any help would really, really be apprectiate xD
Thank you

My guess is that the meshes you are using for your custom characters  are not seasons friendly. Try reloading the default maxis meshes or mod some of the chracters here and see if that helps.

Hmm, I've never really thought about the meshes being the issue. I went
through my downloads with clean installer, and none of the meshes turned up red.

How do you reload default maxis meshes? x3

And if you mean mod as in change a little, like make their lips a little smaller or a little bigger, I've tried that with no effect.

The default meshes are still in your game, they are just being over ridden by some meshes in your downloads folder. I would remove meshes 1 at a time (sorry) and see what the offending mesh was or if you knew what mesh your wonky characters were built on, i would delete those and see if that helps.

xD
Oh wow, that's going to be alot of meshes. I'll try it out though.
(Goodbye weekend xD)
Should all meshes, hair/clothing, be tested out like that?
Delete one, see if it works?

I'm curious though, if it is the mesh(es), why do they only mess up my
created sims and not my downloaded sims? Because all my sims have CC
on them, and several have the same CC, but it's still only the ones I've created that have messed up while my downloaded sims are fine.

Have you also tried changing the sim's appearance?  Sometimes facial features will revert back to the way they're supposed to look after a quick look in the mirror.  May not be guaranteed to work, though... :dontknow:

Isn't there some blend facial limits cheat? Could that cause it?

TenshiiAkari12: I've tried that, and it didn't work ):

oph3lia: I've tried turning it on/off and neither worked.

johndian: Only the face meshes? Phew xD I'll go through my downloads then.
I'll post if I find/don't find anything.

I'm so glad I found this thread.  I'm having the exact same problem.  Everything was fine until I installed Seasons.  I even went and uninstalled everything and reinstalled all the expansion packs.  The weird thing is that NOW it's even happening with Seasons uninstalled.  And I know for a fact that these skins were working before then because these are the same sims I use all the time.  Hopefully some kind of solution can be found.

I'm quite sure the problem is caused by settings reset, due to new EP installation.

Go to game settings (I don't remember exactly where, but I hope you may figure out) and check "sim details": I bet it's been resetted to "low". Change it to "high" and that weird issue will disappear.

So far I've been going through my meshes and have been unable to find
a problem one.

DreamladyK: I'm glad I'm not the only one with this problem! xD
And I was just beginning to think that maybe I should uninstall my
Seasons xDD Thanks for posting that it doesn't help.

Marhis: I'm pretty sure I changed the settings of my game from low to high
almost immediatly aftering loading Seasons, but maybe I skipped that one.
I'll check it out.

Freaky_Kitty:  Yeah, I went ahead and reinstalled Seasons since it didn't seem to make a difference.  It really sucks because the sims in question are sims I made of my family so to see the faces get distorted really bothers me.  And you're the first person besides myself that it seems to have happened to so the odds of finding a cure seem small.
