A few days ago my entire "My Docs" sims folder disappeared! Everything including PE, downloads...everything in the Sims2 folder was gone. I've just about got everything back to normal and the game is going ok but...the TV just shows a blue screen everytime my sims try and watch in any neighborhood. Anyone help me with this? I've recopied the movies and broadcast files from EA Games folder but that does not work. Need a TV repairperson!
Also, anyone have any ideas why the entire folder would simply disappear overnight?
Thanks,
Jaleosia

It`s the same answer if I asked you "do you have any ideas why my cookie dissapeared?" Someone must have deleted it... first of all make sure you are on your account, then check the files on your computer, cause maybe that folder was moved (not deleted), then if you still don`t have it, the best way to solve it IMO would be reinstalling.

odd, normally if the my docs folder gets deleted or moved then the game just makes a new one when you load the game again.

Did you try re-installing the game (or last EP), you don't really say how you got things back to normal. it's kind of hard to help when we really have no idea what you have done/tried.

Ha Ha! I got it to work!! Somehow the broadcast.ini file got messed up and wound up with "broadcasta.ini" I simply changed it. So weird. Anyway thanks to all you nice people for your help.

Just a side note, I have deleted my game in my docs and uninstalled my game so many times I wonder how I do things like feed myself or tie my shoes in the morning.  So what I started doing is scheduling a restore point on my computer every few days and backing up my game.  It sounds like alot of work but way less then starting completely over.

To create a restore point you go to start menu/control panel/performance and maintenance then on the upper left corner you will see System Restore and it will walk you through the process.
